Terms & Conditions

Term and Conditions of Creators Studio Pty Ltd
Creators Studio Pty hereinafter referred to as “the Company” agrees to manufacture, reupholster, supply, fit or repair furniture for the Customer as mentioned on the relevant quotation under the following terms and conditions:
All written quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue


1. Deposit
A 70% deposit is required on quote confirmation. Payment of the deposit will be regarded as acceptance of the quote.
No refunds will be given on deposits. E&OE.
An invoice will be issued on acceptance of the quote.
Work only to commence once deposit reflects in business bank account.


2. Final Payment
All outstanding balances to be paid before delivery of goods to client. Completed orders/items may be viewed by Customer prior to delivery at the workshop.


3. Special Request
Any special requests must be made at the time of accepting the quotation, e.g., return old covers, foam or fabric. All old and removed items will be disposed of during the project.


4. Fabric
Customer to come to the Company showroom to make fabric selection.If any fabric is selected online and the Customer does not come in to confirm fabric selection the Company will not be held liable should the Customer not be satisfied with the colour, texture or overall look and feel.No claims will be processed on fabric supplied by the customer.
Please note that white fabric may be more susceptible to stains, tiny marks may occur as the fabric needs to be handled during the making process. When patterns are selected, the pattern placement will be determined by the Company.

We do not provide any warranty or guarantee on the lifespan of products made with synthetic leather, vinyl, or bonded leather. We explicitly advise against the use of these materials, and any purchase or use of products containing these materials is at the sole discretion and risk of the user. We disclaim any liability for damages, wear and tear, or other issues related to products using synthetic leather, vinyl, or bonded leather. Customers are encouraged to carefully consider the materials used make informed decisions based on their preferences and needs. We strongly recommend the use of high-quality fabrics and genuine leather for superior durability and performance.


5. Genuine Leather
Genuine leather cannot be manipulated in the same way as synthetic materials/fabrics, imperfections will naturally occur on leather items. Genuine leather will have natural marks, if any natural flaws of leather need replacement due to customer dissatisfaction the cost will be for the customer. Dyed Leather lots can differ from hide to hide. Should additional hide be necessary to complete the job the Customer will be charged accordingly.


6. Foam
Not included (but is advised to be replaced). Once the furniture is stripped open and new foam is necessary the Customer will be contacted and be provided with a quotation for the replacement of foam.


7. Lead times
Estimated 4-6 weeks for completion.


8. Installations
The Company will not be held responsible for taking down, transporting or re-installation if items need to be altered or repaired. The structure of the wall as well as any plumbing or electrical issues in the wall is out of the Company control as the Company only does the installation. The Company does not take any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage.


9. Electrical
The Company specialise in reupholstery and not electronics/electrical components and take no responsibility or liability for any electrical malfunction once the item has been reupholstered.


10. Workmanship
All items are handmade, and imperfections may occur as nothing is mass produced.
Although we strive for perfection, custom made, as well as upholstered items may not look or feel exactly as the original piece or image.


11. Cartage
On collection and delivery to the Customer all goods need to be easily accessible to the driver, if passages or doorways are too narrow or not on the ground floor, we cannot be held responsible for damage to walls/door frames/furniture. Should the Customer not be at the premises when the driver arrives an additional cost will be charged to the Customer on return.

 

At Creators Studio, we utilize open vehicles for the collection and delivery of items. Our priority is to ensure the safe transportation of goods while maintaining their integrity throughout the delivery process. To achieve this, we employ protective measures to safeguard items during transit.

Protection of Items: We are committed to protecting items during transportation by utilizing secure fastenings, tarps, or other coverings to shield them from debris, dust, and other environmental factors.

Weather Policy: While we take every precaution to protect items during transit, we acknowledge the inherent risk posed by inclement weather conditions, particularly rain or the risk of rain. Despite our best efforts, there exists the possibility of rainwater seeping through covers or tarps, potentially causing damage to the transported goods.

Safety and Quality Assurance: In prioritizing the safety and quality of the items we transport, we have established a policy to postpone deliveries during rainy weather conditions. This decision is made to minimize the risk of damage and ensure that goods arrive in optimal condition.

Communication with Customers: In the event of a delivery postponement due to rain or adverse weather forecasts, we will promptly notify customers in advance of scheduled deliveries. We will provide options for rescheduling deliveries to a later date to accommodate weather-related constraints


12. Storage Fee

Any items left on the company premises for over 30 days without the payment of a deposit will incur a storage fee of R500 per week by the Customer. Another 30 days thereafter, the stored items will be discarded.

The same will apply to customers who have been invoiced for the final payment, and payment has not been received within 30 days. If the final payment remains outstanding for more than 30 days after the invoice date, a storage fee of R500 per week will be applicable. After an additional 30-day period, the company will be left with no option but to dispose of the stored items to recover outstanding payment


13. Guarantee
The Customer agrees to notify The Company of any defect as soon as such defects become apparent.
The Company strives to maintain a high standard of workmanship, but mistakes may occur. Any claim from the Customer will first need to be accessed by the Company.


Should this happen it is the Customer’s responsibility to bring the item into our workshop for assessment. 
Should the item be too large for the Customer vehicle the Company will only be able to collect at no charge to the Customer when in a radius of 15km from the company premises. All collections outside of the radius will incur a cost.

Fabric – As per supplier
Fabric supplied by the Customer - No guarantee.
Foam – As per supplier
Buttons – 6 Month guarantee, buttons are not heavy-duty finish
